Some really good BBQ and I really like the owners.

Quick cafeteria style serving line full of good fod at reasonable price.

Food is yummy ladies that work there are AMAZING & Super sweet!

I rarely leave bad reviews just because I like positivity and giving people the benefit of the doubt. When it comes to restaurants I also like to try more than one thing before I condemn an entire establishment but that is not the case here. It is grossly overpriced, it appears they use canned veggies and maybe even canned meat or pre-made meat of some sort. I know they make some of it in house but if that chopped beef is homemade they need to hire a new cook. The best thing about it was the toasted bread with butter on it. Even the desserts tasted pre-made and were terrible. they need to make some serious changes if they want to charge $20 a plate.

Chicken &dumplings was great. But must have been nner end of pot b/c my dumplings were breaking up. Loved them as usual. Thanks.

We really enjoyed the Hickory Stick. The ribs we do tender you wouldn't even need teeth to eat them. The beans had just the right amount of spices and the Cole slaw was out of this world. A special thanks to all the sweet ladies that run this fine establishment. We will definitely be back. Very responsible prices, too.

Out of 3 women behind the counter no one I mean no one acknowledged us when we walk in. Finally after waiting a while one of the ladies said what do you want. I gave my order and waited. Then another lady ask what we wanted and I said so you want me to repeat my order one of the ladies repeated it. They acted like we were bothering them.

I 've been getting bar-b-que from here for over 30 plus years and I've never been disappointed. I' ve brought family from out of town here & they are repeat customers when in shreveport. They have also catered family reunions for us also.

Good barbecue, but really good red beans and rice with cornbread on the Monday special. Price includes drink.Soups are good but I don’t like the chicken and dumplings. Chicken tastes wild!

The best BBQ in town and the ladies behind the counter have been there forever and are super friendly. The food is fantastic!!!

The chicken n dumplings are really gross! They're bright yellow (why???) and taste like they have some kind of old grease in them, maybe bacon grease or something. There was no meat! (not that I'd necessarily have wanted to eat it.) Dumplings had a decent texture, but everything else about them was awful.

St. Louis style ribs at $13.00. Just bones not much meat..I cant even remember what else was in the plate.

Hickory Stick is an individual barbecue place that leads ahead of the barbecue chains. Casual place ,basic menu with the normal sides, dine in or takeout, main point being the barbecue and sauce... which are tops.

The brisket sandwish is good but border line dry. If you like that. Then this is your spot.

Local favorite. But..(and I know there will be objections) I'm not a big fan. Two people with normal two meat plates and tea just cost me over $40. They've been named the best in state or something of the sort before. I really didn't like most of my items. The potato salad had a good flavor but the riced potatoes were not my thing. While the chopped beef sandwich and beans were delicious, the turkey was unremarkable. Stars given for the chopped beef, beans ad sweet tea.

First time here. Got the Saturday special Ham sandwich, potato salad and beans. Menu is simple and I like that! Ham is fantastic with that BBQ sauce and soft bun. Potato salad is sweet, don't normally like it sweet, but with everything else it works. Beans are to die for. Will definitely be bringing the family in for some BBQ. Oh and the smell of that smoker cooking....let's you know it's done right. Definitely recommend as a former cook!

Great tasting B.B.Q everything. Fresh lettuce and ripe and juicy tomatoes for your burgers in a good, clean and fresh restaurant, with a helpful staff that'll tie your shoe. They welcome you in like like you are family. This ladies and gentleman, is a tasty treat for the whole family at the same ole fashioned price. And Tell'em Greg sent'cha.

A great place to get a good meal at a fairprice. I ordered easily at the drive through. The staff was friendly and hospitable. However, the wait time between ordering and pickup was too long.

The staff was so so friendly. The food was to die for! #ExcellentFood #BBQ #FriendlyEveryone there coming from the kitchen and the front staff was very friendly and had smiles on there faces! This is really a great place! We will definitely be back when we come back to Louisiana!

Pricey but food is good and employees are super

This is one of the best BBQ places in the United States. The Daily Specials and the Gumbo on Fridays in winter is very good. The Red Beans and Rice on Monday is a traditional favorite.

Without doubt, the best BBQ in town. It's the first place I go when I come in town.

I ordered at the store and had 2 orders. A 2 piece rib and sausage plate and a po boy. I didn’t check the dinner because they had several cars behind us, but when I got home, my lunch consisted of a Large order of sausage(Nothing Else) and a large order of chicken with beans, bbq sauce, and potatoes salad. Not what I ordered at all. There are not a lot of things to choose from right now, and I’m not sure why I choose from here today, but I won’t be coming back here again
